2012 Pre-Conference Dissection Workshop
Exploring the Fascia and Its Layers: Advancing Knowledge through Anatomical Exploration
March 26 – 27, 2012
Dissection expands the way one views anatomy, and helps integrate treatment approaches. This exceptional hands-on workshop aims to promote a better understanding of the Fascia of the trunk and limbs, through interactive dissection. In this workshop, the participants will see and palpate the superficial and deep fasciae of the whole body, with particular attention to fascia‘s relationship to muscles, vessels and nerves. Participants will explore how the nerves and vessels are covered and sleeved in fascia. Special attention will be placed on the thoracolumbar fascia, the rectus sheath, and the pectoral fascia. Tutors will present the different steps of the dissection of that specific region, and discuss the dissection at the end of every section.
