This special webinar features Dr. Jean-Claude Guimberteau, Co-founder and Scientific Director of the Institut Aquitain de la Main, and the first to use high-resolution endoscopy to film living tissue in vivo during surgery.
Classical anatomical training long suggested that human structure was fully described through dissection. However, observations made using high-magnification intra-tissue endoscopy in living subjects revealed a fundamentally different organisation of biological matter. Beyond visible colour and blood flow, connective tissue emerged as a continuous, tensioned network of irregular fibrils with dynamic, fractal-like motion. This architecture extended across all scales, contained cells, and existed without discrete layers or empty spaces.
These findings challenge conventional anatomical models and invite a revised understanding of structure, continuity, and function in living human tissue.
